There’s a new generation of students poised to become lifelong archers. Interest creates opportunities for business owners to not only put bows in the hands of beginners, but also to help students learn the sport and grow into passionate archers who will be advocates for the industry.

In recent years, archery participation has been on the rise. Movies and television shows like “Arrow,” “Game of Thrones” and “The Avengers” have audiences of all ages learning the sport. Bow shops must evolve to meet the growing demand for archery instruction. One way shop owners can increase their knowledge, expand their customer base and generate higher profits is to become certified to teach archery.

Thanks to the ATA, USA Archery, the National Field Archery Association (NFAA), Archery Shooters Association (ASA) and the Scholastic Archery Association (S3DA), you can get certified to teach archery at the ATA Trade Show, Jan. 11 – Jan. 13, 2018.

Why Certify at the ATA Show?

USA Archery, NFAA, ASA, S3DA and the ATA teamed up to make getting certified at the ATA Trade Show quick, easy and cost effective. We understand you are already very knowledgeable, so the classes are tailored to the ATA-member retailer audience. USA Archery and S3DA select top-notch teachers for the classes, offering an educational experience that will be tough to beat outside of the Show. ATA also pays for the space, equipment and instructors, which saves you up to $200.

New to #ATA2018: Scholastic 3-D Archery Instructor Certifications

This year, the ATA partnered with S3DA to bring S3DA instructor certifications to the ATA Show. S3DA – one of the fastest-growing youth archery programs in the country – is an exciting after-school initiative that can be run in schools, archery shops and other organizations.

S3DA appeals to students for many reasons. Students can choose the equipment they want to use and the only restrictions are bow speed limits based on age and shooting division. S3DA helps students progress from elementary school shooters to high school and eventually to the collegiate level, where there’s potential to earn scholarships. Students also learn the ethics of fair chase and bowhunting, as well as wildlife conservation. Many S3DA students develop a lifelong love for not only archery but also for bowhunting.

ATA is excited to work with S3DA to offer S3DA certifications at #ATA2018. You must hold a Level 2 instructor certification to register for S3DA training.
