David Kronengold

Precision Shooting Equipment

David Kronengold is proud to represent Precision Shooting Equipment on the ATA Board of Directors. His term runs through March 31, 2021.

David began shooting competitive archery in 1988. His fascination with archery equipment led to his interest in engineering and launched his lifelong journey in the sport and industry. David’s competitive highlights include a spot on the 1992 Junior USAT and 1993 Collegiate All-America teams, as well as several state and regional titles. David remains recreationally competitive in target and 3D archery, and he enjoys bowhunting as time allows.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. David joined PSE as a product-development engineer in 1996. He left PSE in 2000 to pursue a career in fiber-optic engineering in the telecommunications industry, but returned in 2001 to lead engineering efforts for the Browning Archery project. David was promoted in 2002 to engineering manager of PSE Inc., and managed all engineering work for PSE, Browning Archery, Archery Research, Carbon Force, Top Gun, Vibracheck and King.

He was promoted in 2002 to vice president of engineering and quality, and was also the interim vice president of operations in early 2013. David left PSE in 2014 to become director of engineering at Savage Arms. He also worked at Pratt & Whitney from 2016 to 2018 as an associate director of business development and strategic planning in the aerospace industry, working for its commercial and military jet-engine programs.

In late 2018 David was excited to return to PSE as general manager. He reports to PSE founder Pete Shepley, and oversees engineering and operations while also serving on the organization’s senior leadership team.

David holds 20 archery-related patents and enjoys working with PSE’s pro staff in the hunting and target arenas. He also works with PSE customers to ensure the company’s products meet the needs of elite shooters and exceed customer expectations.

When not working or shooting his bow, David enjoys showing dogs with his wife, Katherine, and spending time with his daughter, Hannah, as she finished high school and enters college.

David looks forward to serving as PSE’s representative on the ATA Board, and working to help the ATA grow while protecting the sport and its health. David previously served on the ATA’s Technical Committee for over a decade.
