Taylor Walston joined the Archery Trade Association in September 2018 as communications coordinator to oversee photo content, layouts, and edit all three ATA websites, manage the ATA’s media performance, and boost its overall communications effort.
She has been working as a freelance writer for the ATA since 2015, and has written for ArcheryTrade.org, Bowhunting360.com and Archery360.com. Taylor has developed a deep appreciation for the artistry of archery, which she will put to good use as a full-time team member.
Taylor has experience creating blog content and social-media copy, and loves learning about industry and marketing trends. She looks forward to seeing the industry grow and flourish.
Taylor graduated from Louisiana State University in 2014, earning a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in creative writing. Through great dedication, she achieved the degree in three years and then pursued a master’s degree in mass communication for a year. While attending LSU, she competed on the school’s speech team.
Taylor’s writing passion developed at a young age. She said she knew she loved writing “as soon as she picked up a pencil.” Her avid love of reading and fascination with storytelling fueled her passion for the creative arts.
Taylor is originally from Washington, Illinois, but currently lives in Boerne, Texas, with her family.
