5 Can’t-Miss Events to Kick Off the 2018 ATA Trade Show

Do you have free time in Indianapolis before the 2018 ATA Trade Show, Jan. 11 to 13? Kick things off right by joining fellow Archery Trade Association members at five events on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

These events offer fun, fellowship and networking opportunities, as well as the chance to receive excellent deals, giveaways and more to boost your business in 2018. Don’t miss out! Attend them all!

1. Archery Instructor Certification Classes


Get certified to teach archery through USA Archery (Level 1 and 2 instructor certification), Scholastic 3-D Archery, or both! Each class is limited to 30 participants so apply soon to secure a spot. Photo Credit: Shane Indrebo.

Get certified to teach archery at the Show. Instructor certification adds credibility to your business, boosts your marketing value, and provides your staff with valuable skills and knowledge. It also enables you to offer money-making programs at your shop, further increasing your profits and customer base.

Get certified to teach archery through USA Archery (Level 1 and 2 instructor certification), Scholastic 3-D Archery, or both! The cost is minimal. 2. ARRO Hot Show

The Archery Range and Retailers Organization holds its annual ARRO Hot Show on Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 3 to 7 p.m., and Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Exhibit Hall K. ARRO harnesses the combined buying power of individual retailers in its membership to receive manufacturers’ best wholesale prices. The ARRO Hot Show is for ARRO members only. All ARRO members must wear their ATA badge to attend.

The Hot Show offers many one-day deals, cash prizes, giveaways and more. All ARRO members are eligible to win up to $1,000 for visiting companies in the Manufacturer Gold Program. Feradyne, TruGlo Apex and Bruce Hudalla are also sponsoring a giveaway in which a few lucky members will go home with up to $500 in free goods.

3. NABA Super Show

New for the 2018 Show is the National Archery Buyers Association Super Show in the Wabash Ballroom on Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The NABA buying group provides its members the manufacturers’ best wholesale prices. Buying groups give members exclusive access to special pricing from many manufacturers.

The NABA Super Show is for NABA members only. All NABA members must wear their ATA badge to attend. The event features specials available only during the four-hour Super Show. NABA dealers must register by Friday, Dec. 29, to receive a free lunch.

4. Hudalla PreShow Event

The Hudalla Associates Inc. PreShow is Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the 500 Ballroom. The event is open to all ATA members, and features specials, giveaways, demonstrations and new-product unveilings.

The PreShow gives dealers one-on-one time with manufacturers to write orders and use the shooting lanes before the ATA Trade Show begins. Attendees can also preview new products and get their picture taken with the Jack Links Sasquatch and a mystery guest.

5. Outtech Innovations

Outtech Innovations kicks off the 2018 ATA Trade Show at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, in the Sagamore Ballroom. The Innovations party is the archery industry’s largest social gathering of retailers, media personalities, conservation groups and wholesale professionals.

Celebrate the event’s 20th year with a concert by country-music artist Chris Janson. Besides free food, drinks and entertainment, Outtech Innovations offers retailers the chance to buy exclusive door-buster deals from its vendor partners. These can’t-miss deals feature hot new items for 2018, and special one-night-only promotional pricing and program offerings. Vendors will also pass out raffle tickets at the party and throughout the Show for chances to win cool prizes.
