ATA Member Spotlight: Driven Outdoors LLC

Media companies like Driven Outdoors recruit, retain and reactivate hunters while promoting growth in the archery and bowhunting industry.

Driven by success and perseverance, Pat and Nicole Reeve of Driven Outdoors LLC inspire people nationwide to hunt and get outdoors. In turn, they help sales for their partners and the archery and bowhunting industry.

Pat Reeve launched Driven TV — a family-oriented production company based in Kellogg, Minnesota — in 2004 after working a few jobs in the industry. Pat’s experience as a whitetail guide at Bluff Country Outfitters in Wisconsin, and a videographer for Hunters Specialties Inc. and North American Whitetail gave him the skills he needed to start his own business. Nicole joined the company in 2007 shortly after taking a job in education. They married in 2012, and are considered one of the most dynamic teams in the hunting industry.

With help of the Driven team, Pat and Nicole are in their 14th season of the “Driven with Pat and Nicole” TV show on the Outdoor Channel. They also recently launched the digital platform DrivenHunter.com, which links to their podcast, YouTube channel, cooking segment and other media outlets.

Consumers like what they see. “Driven with Pat and Nicole” ranks as one of the top outdoor television shows year after year and is one of the highest ranked shows on social media.

“We’ve been doing this a long time, but we’re constantly learning to be innovative in the outdoor space,” Nicole said. “We keep our shows family-oriented, and focus on production quality. We take the time and effort to get good shots and deliver the best of the best. On top of that, we go on quality hunts and put trophy game animals on the ground year after year.”

Although awards and recognition are nice, Pat and Nicole are focused on continuing to get their five children involved in the outdoors, and introducing others to hunting.

“It’s awesome to see a new person grow a love for hunting,” Nicole said. “It’s neat to see that through someone else’s eyes because they’re new to it. They don’t take it for granted, like we sometimes do since we were born and raised to hunt. It’s funny because you get used to living a lifestyle, but when you look and see the outdoors through someone new, it brings a whole new appreciation for what we do.”

The Reeves are honored to mentor and introduce kids and adults to the sport, and they enjoy working with companies that help people find success in the woods.

“The products we represent and endorse have never been a hard sell for us,” Nicole said. “It’s natural product integration. We have success in the field using our partners’ products, and that’s why we stand behind them. The viewers see that, and that’s what drives sales.”

Driven Outdoors has been an ATA media member for 11 years. Media companies help recruit, retain and reactivate archers and bowhunters. Nicole said Driven Outdoors subliminally encourages consumers to buy products and helps companies – as well as the archery and bowhunting industry – get favorable national exposure.

Nicole said attending the ATA Trade Show to connect with retailers and other ATA members greatly benefits their business.

“[Shows] are really important to us and our brand,” Nicole said. “We enjoy going to them to meet new people, share hunting stories, and spend time with people who love the outdoors as much as we do. The ATA Show helps us connect with our partners and dealers who have archery shops and love the sport as much as we do.”
