It’s September, and that means prep-time for the Archery Trade Association’s 2018 Trade Show! It’s the industry’s largest and most business-driven show, so you don’t want to miss it.

Here’s everything you need to know – and do – in the coming months to prepare for this annual event, which will be Jan. 11-13 in Indianapolis.

Renew or Become an ATA Member

The ATA Trade Show is closed to the public. You must be an ATA member to register and attend. If you have an archery and bowhunting business, and are eligible for membership, click here to join the ATA. If your company’s membership has expired, renew for 2017-2018 by logging in through the ATA-member portal.

Register for the Show

You can register for the Show several ways. Pick the most convenient method and get started. Online registration is open throughout the Show. Log into your account here to begin. Otherwise, register by mail, email, phone or fax by Dec. 22.

Book Your Room in the ATA Hotel Block

You have many good reasons to book your Trade Show hotel in the ATA block. You’ll save money, experience no hassles, receive exclusive room amenities, and have easy access to networking opportunities and the Indiana Convention Center. Plus, with over 12,000 ATA-discounted rooms in 16 hotels, you have many options. Click here for hotels in the ATA block.

The deadline to book your ATA-discounted rooms is Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017. For group booking, guest lists for reservations of 10 or more rooms are due Monday, Nov. 6, 2017.

The Visit Indy Housing Bureau is the only authorized housing agency for the 2018 ATA Trade Show. Exercise caution when contacted by housing providers or hotel brokers. Any company that contacts you about hotel reservations is not affiliated with the ATA or endorsed by it.

The ATA Trade Show app is packed with features that maximize your time at the Show. Sign Up to Become a Certified Archery Instructor

Certification adds credibility to your business and helps you offer money-making programs at your shop. That’s why the ATA partnered with USA Archery to offer instructor-certified courses tailored to retailers at the 2018 Show.

You have many reasons to get certified to teach archery, and you also have several reasons to get certified at the 2018 Show, including savings up to $200. You can get certified to teach archery through USA Archery (Level 1 and 2 instructor certification), Scholastic 3-D Archery or both!

Plan, Plan, Plan!


Before arriving in Indianapolis for the 2018 ATA Trade Show, prioritize a list of booths and products you’d like to see, then draft a follow-up plan. Photo Credit: Shane Indrebo

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: The Show Floor is big and filled with hundreds of exhibitors and busy booths. Plan your days and your important booth visits. You don’t want to miss out by walking too far between appointments.

To ensure you work with your high-priority exhibitors, plot efficient routes using the ATA Trade Show’s mobile app or the floor-plan map. Planning is time consuming, but worthwhile. Whenever possible, schedule meetings with exhibitors to guarantee focused, one-on-one meetings and transactions.
