With the 2019 ATA Trade Show almost here, scammers are targeting ATA members with unsolicited, unauthorized calls and emails offering to sell the ATA’s membership list or book hotel rooms for the Show.

Don’t get scammed. Keep reading to learn more about these scams and what you should do if you receive a suspicious inquiry.

We offer the membership directory for free once you've filled out the agreement form on our website. Any offer to sell you the list is a fake. Photo Credit: ATA

Membership Directory

The ATA does not sell its membership list, aka the membership directory, or information about ATA members.

The membership list is a convenient spreadsheet with valuable contact information for networking and capitalizing on business opportunities. The ATA provides this list for free to members who sign a confidentiality agreement. ATA staff then verify that you’re an authorized, credentialed ATA member. This process ensures the privacy of everyone on the list.

Click here to complete the agreement, and then submit it to Wendy Lang at wendylang@archerytrade.org.

For more information read “ATA Member List: Don’t Fall for Fakes.”

The only authorized hotel emails will come from the Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau. Photo Credit: ATA

Hotel Rooms

The Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau is the ATA Trade Show’s only authorized housing agency. Any other company contacting you about hotel reservations is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by the ATA. If you hear from a company with words like “global,” “national” or “corporate” in their name, raise your red flag. They are not an ATA service provider.

All ATA Trade Show service providers mark their communications with the official ATA Trade Show service-provider logo. For a list of ATA-approved providers click here.

You can still book a room through the Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau. You must register for the Show to book your room. If you register for the Show online, you’ll receive an email from archerytrade@prereg.net with a link to book your room. Follow the prompts and submit your selections.

If you register for the Show by mail, phone or fax, ATA staff will give you an access code for the 2019 Hotel Form. Submit your completed form to the Louisville Housing Bureau by fax, email or phone. Click herefor more information.

After submitting your form, you should receive confirmation within 72 hours. If you don’t, please send an email to housing@gotolouisville.com.

Report potential scams to the ATA’s Trade Show, business and membership office toll-free at (866) 266-2776.

For questions or concerns regarding unofficial vendors soliciting your business, please contact Becky Lux, ATA’s senior Trade Show manager, at (507) 233-8132 or beckylux@archerytrade.org.
