For a small fee and a few hours of your time, you can become a certified archery instructor. Why make those investments? Simple:

Instructor certification boosts your marketing value, provides your staff valuable skills and knowledge, and gives your store access to Explore Archery and Junior Olympic Archery Development programs that attract and engage new archers.

If those reasons aren’t enough, read “5 Reasons to Become a Certified Archery Instructor,” by Jennifer Mazur on ArcheryTrade.org.

To make certification a breeze, the ATA and USA Archery team up to offer USA Archery Level 1 and Level 2 certification at the 2017 ATA Trade Show in Indianapolis. This certification class is tailored to meet the needs of ATA and USA Archery members who already know lots about archery.

Level 1 training is a combination of self-guided stations and a 90-minute practical session that minimize time away from the Show floor. Level 1 sessions are offered:

  • Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m.

You must have earned Level 1 certification before attending Level 2 training. Two Level 2 sessions will be offered Monday, Jan. 9. The first runs from 8 a.m. to noon and the second from 1 to 5 p.m.

The cost for Level I certification is $30. The cost for Level 2 certification is $40. You must pick up materials at main registration and bring them to your practical session.
