To maximize your #ATA2018 experience at the Trade Show and take advantage of your ATA-member benefits, make time to visit the Membership Services Area during the Show’s Jan. 11 to 13 run in Indianapolis.

With 650 exhibitors at the Show and much to see and do in three days, you must work efficiently. That’s why the Membership Services Area is conveniently and centrally located on the Trade Show floor. (For an easy-to-read mobile map of the Show floor, download the Trade Show app.)

The Membership Services Area helps you discover the many programs ATA works on year-round to boost your business, and grow and promote archery and bowhunting nationwide. These programs include outreach and educational programs, as well as business-building initiatives and technology. The ATA’s many industry partners offer these opportunities while working year-round as advocates for the archery and bowhunting industries. Many ATA partners have booths in the Member Services Area. We encourage you to come by, say hello and see how the ATA and its partner organizations can help you.

Scholastic 3-D Archery Association

The Scholastic 3-D Archery Association has seen major growth in recent years. It’s one of the country’s fastest growing youth archery programs, and it’s already present in 36 states. “Want to see exponential growth in your shop? Then make sure to visit the S3DA booth at this year’s ATA,” said Jennie Richardson, the executive director of S3DA. This exciting after-school initiative can be run in schools, archery shops and through other organizations. S3DA appeals to youth for many reasons. Students can choose the equipment they want to use. The only restrictions are that bow speed limits are based on age and shooting division. Students learn the ethics of fair chase and bowhunting, as well as wildlife conservation.

An S3DA affiliation benefits your business in many ways. When students are ready to buy equipment, you can answer all their questions. It’s also an opportunity for retailers to offer indoor and outdoor ranges for practice, events or tournaments. “Don’t be left out – retailers strongly involved in this program have seen up to a 40 percent increase in sales and services the first year of the program being established in their area,” said Richardson.

If you’re interested in S3DA, the Trade Show is offering S3DA instructor certifications for the first time at the Show. You must hold a Level 2 instructor certificate to register for S3DA training.

S3DA – $30 (Prerequisite: Level 2 Certification)

  • Thursday, Jan. 11: 10 a.m. to noon.
  • Friday, Jan. 12: 10 a.m. to noon.

National Field Archery Association

The National Field Archery Association promotes many shooting styles, including freestyle, freestyle limited, barebow, competitive bowhunter, bowhunter freestyle, freestyle limited, recurve and traditional. It offers many divisions based on age and skill. With nearly 1,000 clubs across the country, NFAA attracts thousands of archers annually to its tournaments. NFAA sanctions more than 100 state-level championship tournaments and club shoots each year. This includes well-known events like the Vegas Shoot, which is part of the famous 3-Star Tour.

By speaking with NFAA representatives at the Member Services Area, you can learn how NFAA memberships benefit your shop. NFAA offers liability insurance and helps members start leagues. NFAA retailers can also sponsor NFAA tourneys, and appear on the official list of NFAA retailers.

USA Archery

As competitive youth archery grows nationwide, it’s important to maintain the momentum. USA Archery focuses on competitive shooters and helping them achieve their dreams of someday reaching the Olympic podium. USA Archery offers several youth- and adult-based programs through retail shops. A USA Archery membership can be a key component for businesses catering to recreational and competitive archers.

The ATA has offered Level 1 and 2 instructor certification at the Show for several years. Instructor certification boosts your company’s marketing value, provides valuable skills for employees, and connects your store to the Explore Archery and Junior Olympic Archery Development programs to attract and engage new archers. Getting certified at the Show offers many benefits, such as saving time and money, and taking a course with top-notch instructors.

World Archery

World Archery promotes archery on an international stage. As the sport’s governing body, it regulates archery worldwide. The organization sets the rules and regulations for international archery events, and organizes the World Archery Championships and archery events at the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games and World Games. World Archery works to develop the sport with over 160 member-based associations through international events, marketing opportunities and developmental initiatives.
