Jerrod Hoff is Mathews Inc.’s vice president of manufacturing. He joined Mathews in 2001, and has served as its inventory manager, materials manager, software manager and director of operations. He was appointed to fill Mathews’ seat on the ATA’s Board of Directors in December 2017. Mathews’ term runs through March 31, 2020.
As Mathews’ vice president of manufacturing, Hoff specializes in new-product implementation, and guides the entire process from prototyping to production. He oversees planning, budgeting, machining, finishing, inventory, quality-control and assembly for all of Mathews’ product lines. That includes Zebra bowstrings, and hunting and target bows and accessories.
Hoff’s father and grandfather influenced his passion for the archery industry. “My dad and grandpa took me hunting from as early as I can remember,” Hoff said. “Although we started out primarily as gun hunters, it wasn’t long before I fell in love with archery. I was running around with my grandpa’s old recurve by the time I was 10.”
As an ATA Board member, Hoff said he’s most excited about opportunities to learn more about the industry as a whole. He hopes Mathews can work through the ATA’s Board and standing committees to grow archery and bowhunting.
“I’m proud to be chosen to represent Mathews on the Board,” Hoff said. “Mathews is dedicated to archery’s success, and is highly involved in many aspects of the sport. This is a chance to broaden our impact on the industry.”
Hoff earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, and holds a certification in production and inventory management.
