Jon Lené is the general manager for Bear Archery. He leads the sales, marketing, product development, and engineering teams for the Bear Archery brands including Bear, Trophy Ridge, Cajun Bowfishing, SIK Broadheads, and Bear X crossbows. He currently serves as vice chair of the Board.
Lené began his hunting career at PSE Archery in 2006 and spent 10 years serving as both regional account manager and national account manager. In 2016 Lené was hired by Arcus Hunting as vice president of sales to lead their portfolio of brands including Tink’s, Dead Down Wind, Ramcat, Trophy Taker, and Obsession Bows. Lené was hired by Bear in August of 2020 and is excited to be leading one of the most iconic brands in archery.
Lené is passionate about the sport of archery and this industry. He believes it will take all parties working collectively to drive growth in our sport. “I am honored to serve our members and work with our industry leaders to help grow participation in our sport in all forms. Changes in buying habits, decreased access to land, and competition for time are all things affecting archery and many other industries. We must understand the needs of retailers and our consumers for our sport to thrive in this rapidly changing environment. I believe my experience will be useful in achieving strategic goals that benefit our manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.”
Lené lives in Newburgh, Indiana with his high school sweetheart, Katie, and their three children. He loves spending his free time bowhunting, fishing, and coaching football.
