Sean Streff is the General Merchandise Manager, GMM for Hardgoods at Bass Pro Shops located in Springfield, Missouri. Streff Joined Cabela’s in August of 1997 and then relocated to Springfield to join Bass Pro shops following the acquisition of Cabela’s in the fall of 2017.
Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s has long been active in hunting and conservation efforts that are vital to the industry, building on the legacy and visionary leadership of founder Johnny Morris. Streff is honored to share that expertise and background as an ATA board member.
“This allows us to work directly to create more archery and bowhunting opportunities for the nearly 19 million people already enjoying these activities,” Streff said. “We’ve long recognized ATA’s important contributions to archery and bowhunting, and we look forward to working to keep the entire industry robust and profitable.”
Streff said Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s shares the ATA’s commitment to increasing youth and adult participation in archery and bowhunting, part of a conservation movement that is helping shape the future of the outdoors and all who love it for generations to come.
“We’re especially excited to see more women shooting archery, and we want to nurture that interest,” he said. “Our dedication at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s is to introduce and connect families from all walks of life to the outdoor lifestyle.”
Additionally, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s continues to look for ways to engage newcomers to the sport, ensuring there will be new generations of sportsmen and women becoming passionate participants in archery and bowhunting. That, in turn, will help all Americans enjoy abundant wildlife populations.
“Growth in the archery and bowhunting industry means more money for conservation through hunting licenses and excise taxes that directly benefit wildlife populations and habitat,” Streff said.
