Taylor Walston joined the Archery Trade Association in September 2018 as communications coordinator to oversee photo content, article layouts, edit all three ATA websites through the CMS platform, manage the ATA’s media performance and boost its overall communications effort. She also creates monthly analytic reports, works on content for the ATA’s Trade Show mobile app, and manages the ATA’s store locator and email distribution integration within the ATA’s association management systems.
Her role with the ATA began as a freelance writer in 2015 and she continues to produce articles as a full-time team member. She writes for all three websites: ArcheryTrade.org, BowhuntersUnited.com and Archery360.com. Walston has developed a deep appreciation for the artistry of archery.
She has experience creating blog content and social-media copy, and loves learning about industry and marketing trends. She looks forward to seeing the industry grow and flourish.
Walston graduated from Louisiana State University in 2014, earning a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in creative writing. Through great dedication, she achieved the degree in three years and then continued her education by taking graduate courses in mass communications.
Walston’s writing passion developed at a young age. She said she knew she loved writing “as soon as she picked up a pencil.” Her avid love of reading and fascination with storytelling fueled her passion for the creative arts.
Walston is originally from Illinois, but currently lives in Texas with her family.
