You don’t want to miss the 2019 ATA Trade Show! Your new ATA is rebranding itself to better reflect the organization’s passion for the industry, and to focus on boosting participation and preserving archery and bowhunting. The new brand will launch at the 2019 ATA Trade Show Jan. 10 to 12 in Louisville, Kentucky!

ATA staff work to serve and support all ATA-member businesses. Therefore, they revamped the Show’s Member Services Area to create the “My ATA Area,” which focuses on learning and collaboration.

This shift away from surveys and handouts will increase interactions with people who make the ATA tick. The MY ATA Area will gather ATA staff, service providers, organization partners, retail council members and others from throughout the Show to discuss business and hot issues involving the archery and bowhunting industry.

The My ATA Area provides a casual, inviting space for ATA members to share ideas and learn about the ATA’s initiatives, including its business-boosting programs and services. Let’s review what else you can expect in the My ATA Area.

Stop by as often as you'd like to refuel with free coffee and check out one of the many informative 30-minute coffee talks. Photo Credit: ATA

My ATA Coffee Talks

The ATA will hold Coffee Talks, which are 30-minute single-topic discussions by ATA staff, partner organizations and industry professionals. Coffee is free during these talks and all day in the My ATA Area.

Most Coffee Talks will include a presentation, and time for discussion and feedback, so members can pick and choose which sessions to attend. Coffee Talks are limited to a half-hour to accommodate busy schedules and keep you on the Show floor as long as possible.

The ATA has scheduled 18 Coffee Talks for the Show. The sessions will provide meet-and-greet opportunities with ATA staff; share insights into the ATA’s new brand; and deliver insights into websites, federal excise taxes, profit-boosting ideas, and intellectual property issues. Members are encouraged to stick around for one-on-one conversations afterward to discuss questions or concerns.

ATA-Member Programs and Services

You can also learn about all your ATA-member benefits and support programs in the My ATA Area throughout the Show.

Ask an ATA staff member to help you …

  • Learn more about ATA Connect, an online discussion community for ATA members.
  • Obtain the ATA’s Explore Bowhunting or Explore Bowfishing curriculums for your shop.
  • Learn more about the Retail Council, a group that guides and supports fellow ATA retailers.
  • Discover how to benefit from ATA’s consumer websites (Archery 360 and Bowhunting 360). Hint: Use our widget to share content on your website, and attract new customers effortlessly with the ATA’s store locator.
  • Receive information on ATA’s legislative efforts, including the Deer Protection Program and much more.

Instructor certifications are available for retailers of any archery skill level. Photo Credit: ATA

Archery Instructor Certifications

Don’t forget about archery instructor certifications when visiting the My ATA Area. These certifications boost your business’s credibility and marketing value while providing your staff with valuable skills and knowledge. In turn, you can offer more money-making programs to increase your profits and customer base.

Get certified to teach archery at the 2019 ATA Trade Show through USA Archery (Level 1 and Level 2), Scholastic 3-D Archery, or both! The classes cost little because the ATA pays for the space, equipment and instructors, saving you up to $200! View the schedule and register online today. Each class is limited to 30 participants.

For more information and to register, contact the ATA Trade Show’s business and membership office at (866) 266-2776, or email Wendy Lang at wendylang@archerytrade.org.

Final Thoughts

If you have questions or want to learn more about your ATA, sit down with an ATA staff member to drink coffee and ask questions during the  Show. We’re happy to help, and to hear your ideas or concerns. Visit the My ATA Area (aka our lounge-style learning center) as often as you’d like, and drink all the coffee you wish!
