New graduates completed all necessary requirements to be recognized as ATA Certified Bow Technicians following the most recent in-person practical assessment at Lancaster Archery Supply in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Oct. 18.
These graduates demonstrated their knowledge and skills to do quality work in an archery pro shop setting. Each graduate was awarded certificates and other ATA Certified Bow Technician signs and materials to display in their shop. This was the third in-person practical assessment to take place.
"The experience was as close to working in a bow shop as possible,” said recent graduate George Parker of Bay Archery Shop in Mexico, New York. “The tools and equipment were up-to-date and of professional quality allowing for an excellent experience. The facilitators were experienced professionals in their trade which was evident in their communication with and evaluation of participants."
ATA’s Bow Technician Certification course was designed to set the industry standard. Whether you’re looking to pick up the necessary skills to start your own business, get a job at a local shop, or you're a long-time technician looking to expand your skills, this is the course for you.
The certification was created with the help of top industry experts. The 18-segment course is on-demand online and culminates with an in-person practical. As a shop, it is designed to help you improve customer confidence and save time training staff.
That ATA has three additional in-person practical assessments scheduled. Spots are limited, and the online materials must be completed prior to taking the in-person test.
