Advocacy
Your ATA aims to influence political, environmental and economic decisions that directly or indirectly impact archery and bowhunting. We see the benefits of engaging our greatest asset, our members, in the strategy and execution of our advocacy campaigns and strive to offer you the resources and tools you need to support our industry.

Your ATA is committed to monitoring decisions being made by legislation and strives to keep members informed about key issues pertaining to the federal excise tax, conservation, hunting, public land access, and any other topics relating to archery and bowhunting.

Action Alert System

We encourage members to voice their stance on industry issues by utilizing ATA’s Action Alert System. This system was implemented to assist members in taking action on legislative or regulatory issues affecting our industry. With a simple few clicks, members can forward a message to their local senators and/or representatives letting them know your stance on the outcome. Grassroots advocacy is the result.

Environmental Partnerships

Dan Forster, ATA’s chief conservation officer, works with state wildlife agency directors and other partners to implement policies, strengthen relations and R3 (recruitment, retention and reactivation) programming, and develop plans to expand archery and bowhunting in the United States. Your ATA works with partners to protect species from extinction, maintain and restore habitats, enhance ecosystem services and protect biological diversity.
