Advocacy

The ATA works hard on your behalf, year-round, to ensure continued growth of the industry. ATA staff create resources, develop programs, recruit new participants, advocate for favorable laws and regulations, and promote archery sports daily. The ATA also works with partners, such as Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, to extend the organization’s reach and multiply its efforts to keep archery relevant and meaningful in many communities and connects its members with state agencies to implement archery academies and the Explore Bowhunting and Explore Bowfishing programs nationwide.

Additional Efforts

– Developed a real-time data dashboard that allows states and industry members to get an accurate picture of statewide license sale data and information.

– Created a hunter avidity (eagerness) model to assess and improve R3 measures.

– Helped state wildlife agencies recruit and retain the new locavore audience.

– Leveraged influencers and content marketing to recruit new bowhunters.

– Converted target archery participants into bowhunters through R3 efforts.

– Transitioned National Archery in the Schools Program participants into bowhunters through education and by providing next-step archery equipment.

Conservation Initiative

The ATA’s Conservation Initiative strives to boost hunting participation nationwide by teaching archers and nonhunters about their role in conservation and detailing how hunters contribute generously to wildlife-management programs.

Educators, state agencies, archery tournament directors, and other ATA partners can use the Conservation Initiative resources to help recruit and retain archers and bowhunters.

Consumer sites

Archery 360 and Bowhunting 360 are consumer-facing information-and-education websites, as well as social-media accounts on Facebook and Instagram, that encourage teens and young adults to try archery and bowhunting. ATA created these websites to attract and inspire new archers and bowhunters. The sites also help retain current archers and bowhunters, while reactivating former participants in both sports. These websites provide valuable archery and bowhunting content that promote the store locator while engaging your audience and helping your business grow.
