The ATA provides members with an array of exclusive member benefits in a variety of categories: action alerts that help you lend your voice to legislative topics, online courses and certifications to enhance your marketing or technical skillsets, documents to help you run your shop effectively, and a featured spot on our Store Locator, which is designed to showcase ATA member retailers in an interactive map. Learn how becoming an ATA member and being added to the Store Locator can help your business gain visibility, attract more customers and drive business growth.

How it Works

Archers looking to find a store can browse shops by zip code and filter the results by the shop’s services, including ranges, lessons, equipment and club activities. Once they’ve decided on which shop they’d like to visit, they can contact the shop directly from the locator to book their lessons.

Exposure

The ATA’s Store Locator received 20,000 views in 2024. That’s 20,000 people who saw ATA members’ shops when they went looking for information on how to get started in archery. The link is housed on archerytrade.org, archery360.com and bowhuntersunited.com. That’s three different opportunities for interested archers to discover your shop online. Our locator includes fields for your shop’s address, phone number, social media links and website. So, when the user is looking through the options on the locator and clicks on your shop, they’ll be able to contact you immediately or browse your gear and lesson offerings on your site. Take full advantage of the locator and make sure you fill out every field available.

If you're an ATA member and don't see your shop on the locator, you’ll need to renew your membership. Our membership year ended on March 31—lapsed members are automatically removed from the locator after 90 days. But don’t panic. Once you’ve renewed, you will reappear on the Store Locator map.

Become a Certified Bow Technician

The ATA is excited to announce a new feature on our Store Locator that indicates whether your shop has an ATA-certified bow technician on your staff. Having this accreditation will give your customers confidence that you’ll provide the best service possible and that you know how to adjust their bow in a safe and effective manner that is up-to-code with industry guidelines.

Visit our Learning Center to register for the Bow Technician Certification courses. You can choose from a compound, crossbow or recurve certification for $600 each, two for $995 or register for all three for $1,395. The bundle discounts will automatically be applied to your cart when you purchase more than one.

Currently certified retailers will have the info added to their shop’s locator listing upon debut and anybody who receives accreditation after that will be added automatically once they receive the certification.

Become a Member Today

If you’re not an ATA member and being featured on the Store Locator has enticed you to join, please visit the Member Dashboard to review our membership options and join today. Any membership type that falls under the “Retailers and Ranges” category qualifies you to be featured on the locator.

If you have an archery range, you’ll need to submit your government registration and pictures of your shop when you register for a membership. Those with a retail shop will also need to include invoices from two suppliers. Membership dues are billed yearly and start at just $75. Your membership grants you access to all of the benefits previously mentioned as well as the annual ATA Show, the industry’s largest trade show.

2026 ATA Show

The expanded ATA Show is now a nearly week-long event and will be held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis Jan. 7-11, 2026, bringing together the archery and bowhunting community for the archery event of the year. ATA members have access to the ATA Trade Show Jan. 7-8, 2026, both ATA members and the public have access to the Archery & Bowhunting Supershow Jan. 9-10, 2026, and everyone has access to the Rushmore Rumble, Jan. 9-11, 2026.

Become a member today to add yourself to our Store Locator and make your shop visible to tens of thousands of archers every year.
