From Discovery to the Storefront: ATA Invests in Growing Archery

The ATA is connecting recruitment and retention efforts through two essential questions: Where to Shoot and Where to Buy — helping consumers find opportunities to participate and connecting them with ATA member retailers.

Growing archery means more than introducing people to the sport. It means helping newcomers get started, giving current archers reasons to stay involved and connecting both groups with the retailers, ranges, clubs and programs that support their journey.

The Archery Trade Association is investing in this effort through dedicated staff resources focused on recruitment and retention, a refreshed Archery 360 website and the acquisition and continued development of the free Archery Passport app. Together, these initiatives help consumers move from discovering archery to participating in the sport and finding the local businesses that serve them.

The refreshed Archery360.com offers educational articles, videos and equipment information to help consumers explore archery, choose equipment and find instruction. Whether someone is considering a first bow or upgrading their setup, these resources help prepare them for their next step.

The website’s Where to Buy store locator connects consumers with ATA member retailers, with filters for location, services, lessons and more. By making local shops easier to find, Archery 360 helps turn consumer interest into opportunities for retailers to build relationships and serve new customers.

Originally developed by the Easton Foundation, Archery Passport is now under ATA stewardship, with continued Easton Foundation support. The app’s Where to Shoot resources help archers discover ranges, clubs, events and programs. Scorekeeping, progress tracking and social features encourage them to keep practicing, improving and connecting with other archers.

For retailers, helping customers find places to shoot is an important part of keeping them engaged. Active archers have ongoing reasons to seek equipment, accessories, instruction and expert advice from their local shops.

Where to Shoot and Where to Buy work together to strengthen the path from interest to participation — and from participation to the local retailer. The ATA is bringing these resources together to help grow the sport while making ATA member businesses more visible to consumers.

Explore Archery360.com and encourage customers to use Archery Passport. Together, we can help more people discover archery, find their next place to shoot and connect with their local archery retailer.
