Did you know companies that invest in formal training for employees experience a 24% higher profit margin than those who don’t? That’s according to a study conducted by the Association for Talent Development.

It’s true! Other nationwide surveys and reports found similar statistics, further proving that when brands provide quality training for their employees, they see an increase in business profits and employee satisfaction. If you’re ready to receive the same positive results, offer a variety of online and in-person courses and lessons for new and current employees.

As a benefit to its members, the ATA offers several training options specifically for archery businesses. Use these enhanced training resources and strategies to bring new hires up to speed and continue engaging with and investing in longtime employees.

Bow Technician Certification Course

Sign up for the ATA’s Bow Technician Certification course to receive proper training on the skills necessary to set up a compound bow, regardless of brand. Whether you’re a new or established bow technician, you can learn or refresh your skills by watching videos made by a collection of skilled instructors. The course content was identified by a seven-person advisory team of bow manufacturers and industry experts so you can rest assured the skills covered and the acceptable methods to complete them were carefully selected.

The hybrid format has an on-demand online component and an in-person practical where students must demonstrate proper execution of the course skills. This approach allows individuals to watch and complete the videos on their own time at their own pace, with time to reference the videos and practice each skill before the in-person practical. The ATA’s Bow Technician Certification course is an exclusive ATA member benefit and costs $600. Sign up here or register through the MyATA Learning Center to gain immediate access to the course content.

MyATA Learning Center

Access a variety of on-demand educational videos through the MyATA Learning Center, available online through the MyATA member dashboard. The platform has short tip videos and hourlong video courses on managing inventory, building more accurate arrows, increasing profits with your archery range and much more. There are also full-length recordings of seminar sessions from the ATA Show. Some courses offer complementary resources, including worksheets, follow-up questions, next-step activities and one-page summaries. This anytime, anywhere access lets members work at their own pace from their home or business to expand their knowledge and continue their journey to professional development.

Archery Instructor Certifications

Enroll in an archery instructor certification course at the ATA Show or through ATA’s partner USA Archery to become a better archery teacher. Only ATA members can register for a Level 1, 2 or 3 instructor certification course at the ATA Show. Depending on the level, you can learn about range safety, range setup, shooting steps, equipment, repairs, programs, events and archer development. With multiple instructor certification levels, you can continue to learn and hone your teaching skills. A certification also gives you access to the Explore Archery curriculum, which includes fun educational archery activities and games you can use individually on your range or all together in an Intro to Archery class.
