North 40 Outfitters wasted no time being the first multi-location retailer to certify their bow technicians as ATA practical instructors across their 12 locations. With stores across Washington, Idaho, and Montana they recognized the ATA’s Bow Technician Certification Program was an effective and efficient way for them to ensure their employees are meeting standards and delivering a positive customer experience.

The ATA has created a process to scale the course for multi-channel retailers which includes certifying a designated employee, who has completed the certification program themselves, as a practical instructor to make it more efficient for future employees to get certified. Connor Olson, an archery tech at North 40 Outfitters, was the first multi-channel retailer to become certified as a practical instructor.

"As an instructor for this program, and having multiple locations, it was very valuable for us to get a sense of skill level at each shop and even out that skill level,” Olson said. “This helps us make sure we are giving customers a consistent experience and offering high quality work across all locations. Certification is a value add for our customers and also gives our archery techs confidence in their skillset."

The ATA Bow Technician Certification Program thoroughly prepares your techs with the skills they need to succeed, and it will create future growth opportunities for your shops.

North 40 Outfitters couldn’t agree more.
