The archery retail landscape is changing and now is the time to make sure your business stands out. More than ever, the service and repair aspect of your business will be the difference between being profitable or simply keeping the lights on. By communicating these services, you can drive customers into your store and keep them coming back.

In 2025, having an online presence isn’t optional, it’s essential. The ATA offers resources to guide you through building your first website while establishing a strong social media presence so you can connect with current and prospective customers outside of your shop. To get started, check out the following resources: Building Your Own Low Cost Website and Using Social Media to Promote Your Business.

Every year without an online presence means missed opportunities. The best part, digital marketing doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Think of it more as communicating with your customers rather than advertising to them. Share updates on new arrivals, current inventory, ordering lead times, layaway plans, league updates, coaching availability, range memberships, bow technician services and more. Let customers get to know you and your staff’s expertise—It’s what sets you apart from your competitors!

Once your website and social media pages are up and running, keep them updated! This means sharing regular updates with your customers to keep them engaged and informed. Don’t forget, you are communicating with current and future customers so keep up your end of the conversation. Your online presence should be more than just business hours and location, it’s your direct line to every archer and bowhunter in your area.

The ATA is committed to helping you succeed. Take advantage of the tools and support available to strengthen your business and grow your customer base. Remember, there’s no better time than the present to get started.
