With two successful Bow Technician Certification in-person practical assessments in the books, the ATA has three more scheduled in the coming months including one Oct. 18-19 at Lancaster Archery Supply in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Those registered for the course must complete the on-demand online content prior to reserving their spot in a 4-hour in-person practical assessment. The ATA encourages course participants to sign up now as spots are limited.

Additional upcoming in-person practical assessment dates include:

  • Dec. 3 prior to the Archery and Bowhunting Summit in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Jan. 10-13 at the 2024 ATA Show in St. Louis, Missouri

“I had a great experience,” said Chad Fisher, who recently became an ATA Certified Bow Technician at the September practical assessment at First Flight Archery in North Carolina. “I was taught practical and useful techniques that I'm sure will be extremely beneficial in my future in this business. I think having access to this certification course is a must for any serious bow tech.”

The course, which sets the industry standard and was created with the help of top industry experts, is available on-demand online and capped with an in-person practical. It helps ATA members improve their bow technician skills and knowledge with trusted information, no matter the skill level. It also adds credibility to shops and helps them stand out from competitors. The online on-demand portion can be completed at the convenience of the participant, and graduates of the in-person practical assessment will receive certification materials to display in their shop upon completion.

The course cost is $600, and members can register or learn more about the certification here. To become a member, go to www.archerytrade.org/membership.

The ATA Show is a members-only event. It’s the one opportunity each year for those in the archery industry to come together face to face. Those interested in taking the practical assessment in St. Louis in January must also register to attend the Show here.
