Jennifer Mazur of Ashton, Maryland, joined the ATA in 2010 to build and maintain partnerships that advance bowhunting and archery programs. She directs the Outreach and Education team in developing strategy to increase participation in the sport. Mazur manages all NGO endemic and non-endemic partnerships as well as budgeting and contracts.
Mazur co-authored the Explore Archery curriculum with USA Archery and served as the primary author for the revised Level 1 and Level 2 certification manuals. She is a Level 4 archery coach, as recognized by USA Archery, NFAA, ASA and S3DA organizations. She also holds an S3DA Advanced Archery Instructor Trainer certification.
Earlier in her career, she wrote and implemented environmental education curriculum for Maryland’s Montgomery County and Calvert County public schools. As a naturalist for 17 years, Mazur implemented many environmental and conservation programs within parks and recreation departments.
Mazur has appeared on PBS Outdoors Maryland and FOX News. The Washington Post and numerous local papers have featured her and her innovative programs. She lives in Maryland with her husband and two children.
Mazur earned a bachelor’s degree in natural resources management from the University of Maryland. She has 17 years of experience as a naturalist and recreation coordinator in county parks. Before joining the ATA full time, she worked as an educational consultant for Explore Bowhunting.
