Level 1 and
Level 2 Certification Details

Level 1 and Level 2 certification will be offered at the Show. Instructor certification boosts your marketing value, provides your staff valuable skills and knowledge, and gives your store access to Explore Archery and Junior Olympic Archery Development programs that attract and engage new archers. The ATA tailored this certification class to meet the needs of our members who already know a lot about archery.

For Level 1, a combination of self-guided stations and a 90-minute practical session will minimize time away from the Show floor. Level 1 practicals will be offered:

Thursday, Jan. 10: 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Friday, Jan. 11: 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

You must have obtained a Level 1 certification prior to attending Level 2 training. Level 2 practicals will be offered:

Wednesday, Jan. 10: 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 12: 9 a.m.

The cost for Level I certification is $30. The cost for Level 2 certification is $40. You’ll need to pick up materials at Main Registration and bring them with you to your practical session.

To pre-register, contact the ATA Trade Show, Business and Membership Office at (866) 266-2776 or (507) 233-8130, or come to Main Registration to sign up at the Show.

Deer Protection Program

This ATA program assures hunters the scents they buy were subject to this program’s rigorous guidelines. Scent manufacturers in this program can display the ATA’s “Seal of Participation” checkmark on scent products from participating facilities. This means the supplier and manufacturer are doing all they can to prevent chronic wasting disease from harming the nation’s deer and elk herds. Click here to Learn more about the program.

Ongoing Legislative Efforts

The ATA spent much of 2016 working with lawmakers on Capitol Hill to persuade Congress to enact the Pittman-Robertson Modernization Act, which would provide more money and greater flexibility for spending these federal funds on shooting ranges and hunter-recruitment efforts. The focus: promote hunter education, recruitment and the shooting sports, and broaden states’ abilities to help build and maintain shooting ranges.
