The 2019-2020 MyATA member survey found 35% of ATA members maintain their membership to attend the ATA Trade Show. The Show is a huge event with many of its own benefits, but an ATA membership offers much more. It gives you tools and information to boost profits and improve operations while supporting the industry and efforts to create customers.

To learn the value of an ATA membership, click here. Then watch ATA videos about its partnerships, and R3and advocacy efforts. You’ll learn how the ATA works to grow archery and bowhunting participation. Matt Kormann, ATA’s president and CEO, also appears on camera to welcome new members, thank returning members, and review member benefits.

Your membership runs April 1 to March 31 each year, and the ATA accepts new-member applications starting March 2. Ready to join? Click here for a step-by-step application tutorial. Need to renew? Click here for instructions.

Let’s discuss eight important ATA-member benefits that benefit you year-round.

8 ATA-Member Benefits to Explore

1. Take an on-demand course through the MyATA Learning Center.

The MyATA Learning Center helps you improve your business by offering education with interactive videos and quizzes. Log into your member dashboard and click “MyATA Learning Center” to explore your options.

2. Refresh your website and social-media posts with high-quality photos from the Resource Website.

The “Resource Website” is a members-only microsite that gives you access to hundreds of free resources. Download high-quality photos and videos to boost your marketing content. Browse the site for legal documents, industry stats, educational materials, and comprehensive guides. Log into your member dashboard and click “Download Free ATA Resource.”

3. Download the membership directory and connect with fellow ATA members.

The ATA helps archery businesses make connections by providing contact information in its free ATA membership directory. Members must electronically “sign” a confidentiality agreement to view the document. Search for members by name, category, membership type or other filters. The dynamic directory updates nightly, so check periodically for updates. Learn how to access the membership directory here.

4. Connect with Savings4Members for discounts on over 20 products and services.

The Savings4Members group gives ATA members access to over 20 discount programs. Receive special prices on necessities like office supplies, wireless services, consumer financing, payroll and HR, credit-card processing, uniforms and facility services, and waste and recycling services. Contact your savings consultant at (844) 346-3746.

5. Set up a retirement plan for your business.

Handford Financial Strategies offers retirement plans and financial planning services for business owners and their staffs. Retirement strategies are custom-designed, and provide cost-effective plans for businesses of all size. The company is independently owned and operated, and strives to help businesses and their employees make sound long-term financial decisions. 6. Work with a MyATA service provider for expert advice and support on business operations.

MyATA service providers are ATA-vetted companies that offer discounts and expert support. Consult professionals about issues like insurance, bookkeeping, brand protection, federal excise taxes, supply-chain strategies, and product risk and liability. 7. Update your website and social accounts with archery and bowhunting articles.

ATA staff and contracted freelancers write articles for the ATA’s two consumer websites, Archery360.com and Bowhunting360.com. ATA-member retailers can use the ATA’s free Archery 360 and Bowhunting 360 widgetsto fill their websites with fresh, original archery and bowhunting content and photos. Click here to learn how to install the widgets. The ATA’s consumer website also drives traffic to ATA-member retailers with the Store Locator. Click here to learn more.

Members can also share free content from the ATA’s social-media communities. This content sparks interest among followers, creating trust and rapport with new and current customers. Follow the ATA on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

8. Participate in a member-led ATA team or committee.

Join an ATA committee or advisory team to share insights and make a difference in the industry. Members can serve on the ATA Retail Council, which supports and advises ATA retail members. ATA members can also participate in strategic planning through the Marketing Advisory Team, Member Benefits Advisory Team and Trade Show Advisory Team. Watch this video about ATA’s teams and committees to learn more. Please contact the ATA’s Trade Show, business and membership office toll-free at (866) 266-2776.
