When you arrive at the Indiana Convention Center for the 2020 ATA Trade Show, you should take in the friendly faces, helpful signs, and awesome imagery. Then, once you’ve embraced the moment, read this list to prepare yourself for the beginning of #ATA2020.

Get and Wear Your Badge ASAP

Trade Show badges must be worn at all times on the Show floor. If you preregistered for the Show, the ATA emailed you an Express Pass with a barcode. The Express Pass allows you to obtain your Show badge and lanyard at the Show. Look for an email from “ArcheryTrade@prereg.net,” and download the barcode to your phone.

Then, scan it at one of three Express Pass kiosks: The Wabash-West Lobby, outside rooms 120 and 121; the Intersection of Wabash and Crossroads Lobby; or in the Hoosier Lobby at the main registration desk. If you forget your Express Pass, use the self-serve kiosk to find your registration reservation by last name, or visit ATA staff at main registration for full-service assistance.

Embrace Buyer Day: Thursday, Jan. 9

New this year, only those with a red exhibitor badge or yellow buyer badge will have access to the Exhibit Hall on the first day of the Show, Jan. 9. All badge types will have access on Jan. 10 and 11. This change allows buyers and exhibitors to focus on order writing at the Show. Take advantage by visiting your favorite companies while there’s less booth traffic.

Win $5,000 from the ATA or $1,000 from ScentLok

Don’t miss your chance to win free money! The ATA is giving away $5,000 each day of the Show, and ScentLok is giving away $1,000 daily, for a grand total of $18,000. Write $5,000 in Show orders to qualify for the ATA’s Big Buck Tags $5,000 giveaway. Write $1,000 in orders with Nexus Outdoors’ companies to qualify for the ScentLok $1,000 giveaway. Complete your orders, fill out the first two coupons in your Big Buck Tags book, and drop them off at the Info Booth in the MyATA Area by 5 p.m. Your coupons remain in the drawings until the Show’s over.

Thursday Only: Vote for Your Favorite Products in the Featured Product Showcase

The Featured Product Showcase is part of the ATA’s new “Best in Show” awards program. Many exhibitors submitted their products to win an award. Vote for your favorite product in each category, including youth, women, archery accessory, bowhunting accessory, and breakthrough innovation. Voting is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. ATA staff will tally the votes and announce a winner at 10 a.m. Thursday in the MyATA Area.

Thursday Night: Attend the Connections Event at 6 p.m.

After a busy Day 1, head to “Connections: An ATA Happy Hour” in Exhibit Hall J from 6 to 8 p.m. to wind down and enjoy your evening over enjoy free beer, food, games and entertainment. The event features elite archers competing in a sudden death shootout. Attendees will also have the chance to try an Indy Car simulator, and participate in yard games and a fun, interactive shooting competition.

The event also offers many learning opportunities. Learn shooting and equipment tips from the pros; and fun insights, practical knowledge about programs, and revenue-generating ideas from industry experts. The night caps off with a Showdown of elite recurve archers in a Mixed Team style competition, a new event that will premiere in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. It’s free to all Show goers.

Attend as Many Educational Events as Possible

Consider making educational events a priority. Attend seminars, Coffee Talks and demonstrations to increase your knowledge and boost your business. Most educational events are on days 2 and 3, so if you focus on business on Day 1, you can attend numerous educational events on the last two Show days. Whether you’re interested in increasing profits, growing archery, processing jerky, or learning about the federal excise tax, the Show offers presentations on all these topics and more. Click here to see the Show’s education schedule.

Head to the MyATA Area or Main Registration for Assistance

Need assistance? ATA staff have your back, and are dedicated to serving and supporting ATA members. They’ll be in the Information Booth in the MyATA Area to answer questions, and provide help and support. They love discussing member benefits, hearing your thoughts, or pointing you in the right direction. You’ll also find helpful staff members at Main Registration. Don’t hesitate to seek help. The ATA is your support team. If you don’t know our staff, click here for their directory.
