Time is flying by and running out. The 2022 ATA Trade Show in Louisville, Jan. 7-9, will be here before you know it. Add these tasks to your checklist and work quickly to meet the deadlines. Doing so will set your company up for a smooth, successful Show.

Make sure you register everyone that will be working at your booth with their own email. Photo Credit: ATA

1. Register Your Booth Staff for Badges

By this time, you’ve paid your final booth payment, but if you haven’t registered your staff for badges, there won’t be anyone to man that booth. Now’s the time to check with employees and determine who’s attending the Show on behalf of your company. The number of free badges you’re allotted to man your booth is based on booth space. For booths 100 to 1,000 square feet, companies will get four free badges for each 100 square feet of space, and two free badges per shooting lane. For booths larger than 1,000 square feet, companies will get four free badges for each 100 square feet of space for the first 1,000 square feet, one badge for each additional 100 square feet of space, and two free badges per shooting lane.

The easiest way to register your booth staff for badges is to log in to your MyATA member dashboardand click “Register and Book Hotels.” Then, follow the prompts to add badges and sign up your staff. Please note: You must register each person with a unique email address so they can receive their Express Pass.

2. Complete Your Exhibitor Profile for the Mobile App

Want attendees to easily find your booth or contact a team member if they have a question? Then update the information in your exhibitor profile ASAP. The ATA transferred exhibitor profile information from last year’s app to this year’s app, so the information could be outdated. To confirm and change your information, please log in to your MyATA member dashboard and go to the Exhibitor Service Center. Then, click “Edit Booth Info” to check the following profile fields:

  • Company email
  • Company phone number
  • Website
  • Product categories
  • Online profile (company logo and description)

All exhibitors have a basic profile and can purchase an upgrade option to enhance their exhibitor profile. Depending on the package, exhibitors can unlock the ability to add press releases, show specials, colored images, videos and digital product showcases. Some options even provide prominent placement, meaning your profile would be listed at the top of the exhibitor list and search results. Click the “Purchase Enhanced Booth Listing” button in your Exhibitor Service Center to view and obtain upgrade options.

3. Purchase Space in the Featured Products Showcase by Dec. 7

The Featured Products Showcase serves as a product preview for attendees. Exhibitors can display products in the Featured Products Showcase, and they’ll automatically be entered to receive a Best in Show award. Buyers will vote on their favorite products on Day 1 of the Show. A gold, silver and bronze winner will be awarded. Click here for more information and to buy a spot (or two or three) for your products.

4. Enter New Products in the New Product Launch Showcase by Dec. 7

Put your new product on display in a high-traffic lobby near main registration. The New Product Launch Showcase allows exhibitors with products released at the Show or with products released after Oct. 1, 2021, to enter to win a Best in Show award. A team of industry judges will select products that exemplify innovation to receive an award. Click here for more information and to reserve your spot in the New Product Launch Showcase.

5. Place Your Booth Supplies Order by Dec. 8

Furnish your booth to help make it inviting, exciting and polished. If you need chairs, tables, carpet or curtains for your booth, then act now to save your company money. Order these supplies through Shepard Exposition Services before Dec. 8 to receive the advanced, discounted rate. Visit the Exhibitor Toolkit to find instructions and order forms.

6. Submit a Booth Event by Dec. 10

Pull traffic to your booth by hosting a booth event. This could be anything you dream up. Traditional booth events include a new product launch, a celebrity appearance, an autograph signing or a product or cooking demonstration. However, getting creative and offering something unique like a stand-up act, quick trivia game or small performance might draw more attention. In addition to attracting attendees, booth events also foster connections and increase brand awareness. The ATA lists these events for free in the ATA mobile app.

Click here to learn more and sign up to host a booth event. The deadline to submit your event is Dec. 10. Exhibitors can host multiple booth events. You can also find the submission form in the Exhibitor Toolkit.

7. Order Electricity for Your Booth by Dec. 17

The Kentucky Exposition Center can hook you up, literally, with booth electricity. Act now or before Dec. 17 to order electrical power for your booth and you’ll receive an advanced, discounted rate. Find the order form in the Exhibitor Toolkit or order online here.

8. Work with Press at the Show to Maximize Your Exposure

If you want to get free publicity and exposure for your brand or products, consider working with press at the Show. Create and pack pamphlets, sample products and other resources to give to press at the Show. You can also connect with press members now to set up meetings in Louisville so you can demonstrate your product or do an interview for their platform. To request the ATA’s press list, please contact Becky Lux, ATA’s senior manager of Trade Show, at (507) 233-8132 or beckylux@archerytrade.org.

For more tips on how to work with press and why it’s beneficial, read ATA’s article “Attn Press and Exhibitors: Work Together at #ATA2022. Here’s Why.”

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the ATA business, membership and Trade Show office at (507) 233-8130.
