The 2022 ATA Trade Show in Louisville, Kentucky, starts on Friday, Jan. 7, and runs through Sunday, Jan. 9. You’ve waited long enough for the year’s best archery event, so plan to get there early! The three-day Show is packed with activities, so arriving before the Show begins gives you time to breathe, get situated and partake in pre-Show events! We recommend arriving Wednesday night or early on Thursday. Here’s why.

Get Your Trade Show Badge

Registration for Trade Show badges opens at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6, and closes at 7 p.m. Registration resumes on Thursday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Simply scan the Express Pass you received by email at a Kiosk location to print your badge and get a lanyard. Your badge is the ticket to all things #ATA2022, so having it around your neck ASAP is the comforting first step for a busy week ahead. Once you get your badge, tackle the following five activities in your spare time.

Finalize Show Plans

Having an extra day — or even a few hours — to review booth events, educational events, Show specials and the floor plan will help you feel more in control of your Show schedule. You can make last-minute changes and familiarize yourself with your agenda to ensure you don’t miss something important. It’s hard to focus on Show happenings when you’re at the shop or in your office. Being in Louisville makes the Show real, which makes it easier to plan and organize your itinerary.

FYI: Use the 2022 ATA Trade Show mobile app to easily plan your schedule. You can mark your favorite exhibitors and educational events with a star. You’ll find your starred exhibitors in the “My Trade Show Planner” tab under “My Exhibitors.” The educational events will also be in the “My Trade Show Planner” tab, but they’ll be listed in the “My Itinerary” category. Also, the app will be the only place to view exhibitor booth events, so you’ll want to have it. Don’t forget to complete the “Enter to Win” form inside the app for your chance to win Victory Archery Arrows and a Scent Crusher Gear Bag! Click here to download the app and finalize your schedule.

Settle Into Your Hotel

If you arrive early, you can unpack your bags, organize your stuff and properly situate yourself in your hotel room. Take a moment to pack your day bag for the Show, as you won’t need your toothbrush or weekend’s worth of underwear on the Show floor. You can also get acquainted with nearby food options, and walk to a convenience store to stock up on snacks and drinks for the week. Once everything is in order and you’re prepped for the busy weekend, kick off your shoes, lie back and get a good night’s rest.

If you haven’t booked your hotel yet, there’s still time to get a discounted rate through the ATA hotel block, which closes on Tuesday, Dec. 21. If you already booked but want to adjust your check-in and check-out dates, call the Louisville Tourism Housing Department directly at (800) 743-3100. Click here to view the hotel map and hotels in the ATA block. All hotels will have a complimentary morning and evening shuttle service provided by ATA that runs to and from the Kentucky Exposition Center Jan. 6-9, 2022. View the shuttle schedule here.

Socialize and Meet with Friends

Many buyers and exhibitors schedule business meetings during the Show to talk products and pricing, but arriving early gives you time to catch up personally with the people you’ve formed relationships with. Besides, most people are more relaxed before the Show. No one is in a rush to get to the next meeting or educational event on their schedule. The best time to socialize with industry peers is before the Show. Contact restaurants to reserve a table and kick back before the Show’s hustle and bustle starts.

Attend the Masterclass

The ATA’s Archery Industry Masterclass takes place on Thursday, Jan. 6. The in-person Masterclass sessions take place the day before the Show so exhibitors, retailers and attendees can enjoy the courses without missing any action on the Show floor. The sessions will take place from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. EST in rooms C101 and C104. The Masterclass registration fee also grants participants access to prerecorded video content before the Show. The live sessions will be recorded and posted online after the Show as well. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn about business, coaching, marketing and archery tech from industry experts. Go to Affiliate Events

The ARRO Hot Show takes place in South Wing C from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday. If you’re an ARRO member, you can score unique deals and chat with ARRO-member manufacturers in a more relaxed environment. Additionally, the Outtech Innovations event begins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday in the North Wing Lobby. Enjoy free food, drinks and a special entertainment performance. You can also take advantage of Doorbuster promotions and one-night-only pricing and program offers! Attending these events is the perfect way to connect with peers and get into Trade Show mode. Plus, these events are on the ATA’s “Events to Attend” list.

One more thing: If you have any questions about the Show, visit main registration to find an ATA staff member ready to assist. The line at main registration gets longer once the Show starts. Visiting main registration on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning helps ensure you get the answers you need fast!

If you have questions before the Show, please call the ATA business, membership and Trade Show office at (507) 233-8130.
