You’ve patiently awaited the 2019 ATA Trade Show, and now it’s almost here. To ensure you’re prepared, let’s review some frequently asked questions about the Show.

I’m driving to Louisville. Where do I park? What’s the cost?

The Kentucky Exposition Center has over 19,000 parking spaces. Exhibitors can park for free in the lots Jan. 8-9. Just tell the guards you’re setting up your booth. After Jan. 9, exhibitors and attendees must have a parking pass to use the lot. Buy your parking pass in advance at a discounted rate, or at the standard rate when arriving at the gate. Click here to learn more and buy your passes.

Large truck and trailer parking is also available in the marshaling yard. Fees vary. Click here for more information. Contact Sarah Haala, ATA’s Trade Show coordinator, with questions or for more information at sarahhaala@archerytrade.org; or (507)-233-8181, ext. 101.

When do the shuttles run between the airport, hotels and KEC?

The ATA provides complimentary shuttles to and from the Kentucky Exposition Center to all hotels in the ATA block. Shuttles run Jan. 8-12. The airport shuttle runs Jan. 12 from the KEC to the airport from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Bring your bags to the Show that morning and leave them at the coat check for free. When you’re ready to leave, grab your bags and take the airport shuttle. View the shuttle schedule here.

How do I get my Show badge?

Everyone who attends #ATA2019 must wear a badge at all times. If you preregistered for the Show, you’ll receive an email from archerytrade@prereg.net with an Express Pass barcode. Print the barcode or download it to your phone. Then, visit an Express Pass kiosk in South Wing Lobby A or B at the KEC to obtain your Show badge and lanyard. Your badge gives you access to the Show floor, seminars and more. Ordering and sharing extra badges is prohibited.

When does the Show floor open?

The Show floor opens each day of the Show, Jan. 10-12, at 8:30 a.m. EST. View the Show’s schedule of events here. ATA staff recommend attendees arrive early to attend a seminar from 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m., before the Show floor opens. Click here to view the seminar lineup.

Why should I download the ATA mobile app?

The 2019 ATA mobile app, available for free through Google Play and the iTunes store, is a vital planning tool for Trade Show work. It’s a one-stop resource for all things #ATA2019. Download the app to study the floor plan, Show schedule, booth-events schedule, seminars and Coffee Talk schedules, and a list of exhibitors specified by company and product category. Click here to learn more and download the app.

Can I rent a scooter or wheelchair at the KEC?

Yes! If you need to rent a power scooter or manual wheelchair visit the Gould’s Scooter Booth in the South Wing Lobby B to register. You can also preregister through Jan. 4. Call Evelyn with Gould’s at (502) 491-2000. Click here to learn more.

How do I sign up for an archery instructor certification class?

The ATA offers instructor-certification classes for Level 1, Level 2 and Scholastic 3-D Archery at the Show. Instructor certification boosts your marketing value, provides your staff with valuable skills and knowledge, and connects your store to programs that attract and engage new archers. A few spots remain, so register now. Register online or call (866) 266-2776. You can also register onsite if spots remain. Visit the Show’s main registration desk to enroll.

How else can I maximize my time at the Show?

The ATA wants you to be productive at the Show, so plan ahead as much as possible. Obtain passes, schedule meetings, set your budget, make a “shopping list,” and brainstorm questions you’ll ask peers and ATA staff at the Show.
