An Archery Trade Association membership benefits the industry and provides your business with numerous benefits. The membership year runs from April 1 to March 31, and current members can renew now. Watch this short video for instructions. If you’re interested in becoming a member for the first time, visit the ATA’s membership page to see if you qualify. If you have questions, contact Wendy Lang, ATA’s senior membership manager, at wendylang@archerytrade.org or (866) 266-2776, ext. 103.

How Your ATA Membership Benefits the Industry

ATA staff work hard on your behalf year-round to ensure continued growth of the industry. They create resources, develop programs, recruit new participants, advocate for favorable laws and regulations, and promote archery sports daily. ATA staff also work with partners to extend the organization’s reach and multiply its efforts to make archery relevant and meaningful in many communities.

In fact, the ATA and its partners recently received $1 million in grants to grow archery and bowhunting. As a result, the staff are working to:

- develop a real-time data dashboard that will allow states and industry members to get an accurate picture of statewide license sale data and information;
- create a hunter avidity (eagerness) model to assess and improve R3 measures;
- help state wildlife agencies recruit and retain the new locavore audience – people whose diet consists primarily or entirely of locally grown or produced food;
- leverage influencers and content marketing to recruit new bowhunters;
- convert target archery participants into bowhunters through R3 efforts;
- and transition National Archery in the Schools Program participants into bowhunters through education and by providing next-step archery equipment.

In addition, the ATA launched the Conservation Initiative to boost hunting participation nationwide by teaching archers and nonhunters their role in conservation, and by detailing how hunters contribute generously to wildlife-management programs. The ATA also created Bowhunters United, a national consumer-facing bowhunting organization committed to building a strong future for current and potential bowhunters.

These efforts wouldn’t be possible without the support of ATA members. The ATA uses member knowledge, expertise and funding to make decisions and carry out important projects and campaigns. ATA members can take pride in knowing their membership helps the ATA inspire growth, increase participation, and preserve archery and bowhunting sports.
