The ATA Trade Show evolves every year and the 2020 Show in Indianapolis, Jan. 9-11, is no different. That’s because ATA members review the event annually in a post-Show survey, and event organizers respond with a fresh take each year. With new events, products and exhibitors, this year’s Show is sure to please. Here’s a preview.

Buyer Day

Only those with a yellow buyers badge or red exhibitors badge can enter the Show floor on Day 1 of the 2020 ATA Trade Show. This change ensures buyers and manufacturers can focus on uninterrupted order writing, business planning, and new-product evaluations the first 9½ hours of the three-day Show. The Show floor opens to all ATA-members the next two days, Jan. 10-11. The Show remains a business-to-business event that’s closed to consumers. Click here to learn more about Buyer Day.

“Best in Show” Awards

The ATA created an awards program to recognize members for their achievements or for creating products. The ATA will present 26 awards at the Show. Innovative new equipment, products in the Featured Product Showcase, and people and companies inspiring others to try archery are eligible for awards. Click here for more information.

New Products and Great Deals

With more than 568 exhibitors registered for the 2020 Show, you’ll see tons of products and have the opportunity to get great deals, which saves your business money. Plus, as part of the ATA’s “Best in Show” awards program, more than 30 companies will launch new products at the Show. These items will be on display in the all-new Product Launch Showcase near main registration. Stop by the display case on Day 1 to see new-to-market products.

Cash Giveaways

To emphasize order writing at the Show, the ATA is giving away $5,000 each day of the Show, and ScentLok is giving away $1,000 daily, for a grand total of $18,000. Retailers who place $5,000 in orders at the Show can fill out the first two coupons in their Big Buck Tags book, and drop them off in the MyATA Area for a chance to win either $5,000 or $1,000. Both the ATA and ScentLok will draw a retailer each day of the Show. Once retailers submit their coupons, they’re eligible to win throughout the event. For example, retailers who place $5,000 in orders on Day 1 will have three chances to win. Click here to learn more.

Passionate Archery People

The ATA Show attracts like-minded archery professionals from across the globe. Everyone is passionate about the industry, which makes it a great place to meet new people and connect with old friends and business partners.

Featured Product Showcase

The Featured Product Showcase, located in Exhibit Hall F, allows attendees to examine and handle hundreds of products without sales staff looking over their shoulder. Submitted products will be eligible to win awards through the ATA’s “Best in Show” awards program.

Buyers can vote for their favorite product in the following categories: youth, women, archery accessory, bowhunting accessory, and breakthrough innovation. Voting will open on the Show’s first day at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. ATA staff will tally the votes at 5 p.m., and give a gold, silver and bronze award to products in each category.

Events and Entertainment

How can you spend your spare time in Indy? Try to attend these exciting events! On Wednesday, Jan. 8, you can attend the ARRO Hot Show, NABA Super Show, and Outtech Innovations XXII. On Thursday, Jan. 9, don’t miss the ATA’s new event, “Connections: An ATA Happy Hour.” You can also attend the Target the Heart Breakfast and 7th Annual Badlands Film Festival on Friday, Jan. 10. Click here to view the 2020 Schedule of Events to see other #ATA2020 happenings.

Please note: You must be an ARRO or NABA member to attend their respective shows.

Food

Hungry on the Show floor? No problem! The ATA has multiple food courts and concession stands filled with delicious food to curb your appetite. Think chips, brats, hot dogs, salads, candy, nachos, sandwiches, soft pretzels and more. You’ll also find tea, soda, coffee, juice, water and energy drinks for sale if you need to wet your whistle. Click here to view the Exhibit Hall Concessions Map. You can also find the document in the ATA’s Trade Show mobile app or in the Attendee Toolkit on the ATA website. It’s best to bring money for these items. Read the ATA article, “Your Trade Show Survival Kit: 10 Things to Bring to #ATA2020” to view nine other items to bring.

ATA Merchandise

The ATA will sell merchandise, including hats and T-shirts, in the MyATA Area. Attendees will have six original designs to choose from, all of which help promote archery.

MyATA Area

Back by popular demand, the 2020 Show will feature the MyATA Area, which is a dedicated space on the Show floor that focuses on learning and collaboration. The space gathers MyATA service providers, organization partners, retail council members and others from throughout the Show to discuss business and hot issues involving the archery and bowhunting industry. ATA staff will also be in the MyATA Area to answer questions, and provide assistance and support. Stop by to get information, or share your thoughts and opinions.

Innovation Zone

This year, the Innovation Zone will feature 30 companies, with 17 of these companies making their ATA Trade Show debut. The Innovation Zone was created in 2010 to help young, innovative manufacturers and entrepreneurs get the industry’s attention. This special area is reserved for manufacturers new to the industry who might not want to rent a Trade Show booth but want to display their innovative products at the Show. Visit the IZ in Exhibit Hall G.
